this week another report again confirmed that 98% of scientists say climate change is not only real but is being driven by human actions. imagine if 98 out of 100 doctors told you you have diabetes and had all the evidence to back it up and the 2 doctors that told you you don’t have it are funded primarily by the fast food industry and have zero evidence. now imagine if who you decided to listen to not only had implications for yourself but for the entire population of the planet… this week the concentration of climate warming carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has passed the milestone level of 400 parts per million (ppm).. also this week 4 republicans called climate change a “hoax,” 2 of them on the committee that makes decisions for us all…. and guess who funds their campaigns… its incredibly baffling and ultimately sad that not only do they have a voice but a platform to prohibit legislation… all this talk of “scandals” and this isn’t even mentioned…. maybe i need to break out the websters dictionary and reevaluate the definition of a scandal…
